I did finish the Mariner's Compass Quilt and on time. I didn't get much sleep, but it was done for the baby shower. I planned on making my dear friend Vicky one of these for her birthday in May, I've decided....I don't really like her that much. (jk Vick) That was NOT a happy project. I don't think that will ever be attempted again...YUCK!!

Crappy camera phone photos - but you get the idea. Momma has a thing with compasses, I don't pretend to understand, I just thought it may be appreciated. We shall see.
So Bryana had a couple basketball tournaments. The girls did well. In the February tournament they lost 2 or 3 games, but literally the 1st game by 2 points and the second one by maybe 5. We fell asleep in the last 5 minutes of that 2nd game. Darn it! Of course I have no pictures because I am WAY too into the games to pause to snap pictures. :) One day, one day I will do it!
The March tournament is a different story, they swept all 3 games taking 1st place. Again I would love to grace you with photos of the team trophy or the winning basket, but again I can only multi-task so much. Yelling at the girls and the refs as about as far as one can go. Haaa! Those 3 games were VERY physical. One girl is out with a possible tendon tear and others were seriously bruised up. Who said girls don't play dirty????
This was a JOY to watch. After sitting through 2 Shakespeare plays in a row (Cianah in The Tempest and Tatiana in 12th Night) Suessical was WAY more on my level. Who the hell wants to think so much when they are watching a play???
If she looks tired in this picture - she is. These kids keep LONG hours after school to make these plays happen!
This week we had the district band concert. Tatiana and Bryana both performed. It was a great concert.
Bryana plays the Clarinet. This is her 1st year but she does a great job and she likes it alot. The more well rounded the better I say. She can get straight A's, slam dunk and appreciate classical music! Rock on!
Tatiana on the bassoon. She is a flutist at heart, but this year has also picked up the bassoon. Her band director said, "you're smart, you'll pick it up." And so it was. She still doesn't like it - but then again, she doesn't like anything if she has to work at it. There's the bad part of everything in life coming so easy for you. When met with a challenge, it sucks!!! Haaaa! Tough cookies sister!
Here is my favorite of the High School songs. It's 13 minutes long but in my opinion well worth it if you appreciate classical music. The whole song is about the struggle between good and evil. You can hear when one takes over and the other starts to seep in. In the end, as in life, the good always prevails.......
Here is the video from Bryana's beginner band concert. They did very well seeing as most of these kiddos just picked up an instrument for the 1st time in September. (6 months ago)
Last weekend I had a photo shoot for Charlyn's Sweet 16. It was alot of fun. We had a "photo booth," the DJ rocked, and a good time was had by all. :)
Still many pictures to edit, which is what I should be doing right now, but as you can see these girls danced the night away.

So I am off to edit pictures. Getting excited for girls night tomorrow night!! FUBO is always fun!! Tootles
