Catch up

So I haven't blogged in months, as is the pattern for me.

So after graduation Tatiana became legal.  Karl and I bought her a car before her birthday so she would be used to driving it when she took her test.

About a month after she got her license - she locked up the engine because she didn't know that the oil light that was blinking at her - meant she needed oil.  Yup.  Life is grand.

At the end of June Karl and I bought a new car and traded in the van....still second guessing this option.  Love the new car - miss the van...still.

For the month of July we were blessed to have our nephew stay with us.  We did so many things to show him a good time in St. Louis.

We went to Goose Creek Lake to swim, boat, and fish.  Qualil caught his 1st fish that day!! Very good stuff.

We went to:
The Science Center
Powder Valley
Grant's Farm
Monley Joe's
Transportation Museum
We camped in the back yard and roast hot dogs and made s'mores over the fire
Elephant Rocks
Six Flags
The Zoo
The City Museum
Suson Park
And his last day here he rode a horse.

Until the horseback ride his favorite thing was Six Flags.  Glad to see Guliver was better.

When Qualil left in August we dropped the first born off at school.  I cried a little that night - but the real water works came in the days to follow.

Not a big fan of kids moving out...

I did finish the card table playhouse and was lucky enough to get to deliver it to Chloe in Seattle!

Karl and I spent a few days and loved hanging out with the girls.

And as is the case with most children...the girls loved Uncle Karl.  I so wish they weren't so far away, it was a blast spending time with them.

I did finish the quilt for my brother and sister in law right at Christmas time.  Of course no picture of the finished product because I was finishing up another quilt at the last minute and rushing out the door on Christmas day.  (Yes I always wait until the last minute.)

I think they liked it - if not they pretended well enough that I was convinced.  :)

I we are now up to date on HobdyLife.
